Adherence to the nuclear deal is possible only with the lifting of US sanctions, says Iranian Supreme Leader
Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei says Iran will not abide by the nuclear deal until the United States lifts sanctions.
Addressing Iran’s air force commanders, Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei said a return to Iran’s compliance with the nuclear deal was possible only with the lifting of US sanctions. Ayatollah Khamenei said that the United States would have to lift sanctions on Iran, not in words but in deeds.
It is to be noted that the Iranian Foreign Minister had recently said that if the United States returned to the nuclear deal, Iran would respond immediately.
The United States has said in a statement that it would be premature to accept Iran’s offer to resume a nuclear deal.
