Former US President Donald Trump is in big trouble
WASHINGTON: Former United States President Donald Trump is once again embroiled in controversy over the attack on the Congress building.
According to the international news agency, the US federal court has approved the extradition of documents related to the attack on the Capitol Hill.
Former President Donald Trump has refused to release files relating to the attack and has filed a lawsuit in federal court against the release of the documents, but the court has ruled against him.
Once approved by the federal court, the files could be submitted to a congressional inquiry committee, which could pave the way for a lawsuit against Trump.
Donald Trump was defeated in the US presidential election last November and Joe Biden was elected the new president which Trump did not recognize and in one of his emotional speeches accused the winning candidate of rigging.
After the former president’s provocative speech, a large number of his supporters reached Capitol Hill and broke in. Members of parliament hid under offices and desks to save their lives.
More than four people were killed in the riots, and an impeachment motion was filed in the Senate against Trump. This is the first case of its kind in US election history.
