Hurricane Ida devastated six northeastern states in the United States, killing 45 people. Hundreds of flights have been canceled due to the floods, while states have declared a state of emergency.

Hurricane Ida is the fifth most severe hurricane to hit central America. Twelve people were killed in New York due to falling out of the basement, Hurricane Ida in Louisiana destroyed buildings and more than 100,000 homes were without power, while Hurricane Ida in New Jersey killed 23 people.

According to the news agency, many areas in New Jersey were submerged and more people were trapped in their vehicles due to the rain, which resulted in deaths. US President Joe Biden has blamed Hurricane Ida for climate change and global warming, saying the country needs to make “historic investments” to avoid the effects of climate change.

A tornado watch has been issued in Delaware, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, while governors in the states of Virginia and West Virginia have declared a state of emergency.
