Israeli warplanes bomb Syria, killing 4
Damascus: Israeli warplanes flew low over the Lebanese border and bombed central Syria, killing four people and wounding several others.
According to the international news agency, Israeli warplanes fired missiles in the central part of Syria, which was defused in the air by the Syrian air defense system, but some missiles fell in the residential area.
Four people were killed and more than 10 were injured when a missile landed in a residential area. The dead and injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital where the condition of two injured is said to be critical.
On the other hand, a statement issued by the Israeli army said that the attack was carried out on the hideouts of the militants in which the weapons depots were also destroyed.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights confirmed the attack in a residential area of Israeli planes, saying that those killed in the attack were civilians, not militants.
