Kosovo opens embassy in occupied Jerusalem
Kosovo officially opens its embassy in occupied Jerusalem.
According to Arab media, Kosovo has confirmed the opening of its embassy in occupied Jerusalem, after which it has become the first European country to open an embassy in occupied Jerusalem.
A statement from Kosovo’s foreign ministry said the move to open an embassy in occupied Jerusalem was taken after establishing diplomatic relations with Israel.
Kosovo announced the establishment of diplomatic relations with Israel during a February 1 summit at the White House.
Kosovo’s foreign ministry says it has opened an embassy in Israel and has officially set up headquarters in occupied Jerusalem.
According to media reports, Kosovo has set up its embassy in occupied Jerusalem after the United States and Guatemala.
Pictures of the embassy have also been shared on Twitter by a female Kosovo Foreign Ministry official, who can be seen standing outside the embassy with Israeli and Kosovo flags.
