According to the organizers of the March for Over Lives (MFOL) in Washington, about 40,000 protesters gathered at the National Mall. The Gun Safety Group was founded by students who survived the 2018 massacre at a Florida high school.
Courtney Hagerty, a 41-year-old research librarian from New Jersey, attended the demonstration in Washington with her 10-year-old daughter Kate and 7-year-old son Graham.
