US Army Expenditure Spent 60 6 million on 9 goats in Afghanistan
New York: The US military has spent 14 14 trillion during the two-decade-long war in Afghanistan and the Middle East, enriching arms manufacturers, dealers and contractors.

According to Dawn.com, a detailed report published in the Wall Street Journal revealed that US military spending in the 20-year war had reached 14 14 trillion since the September 11, 2001 attacks, one-third to one-half of which Meet the contractors.

The report also states that US taxpayers’ money was wasted on projects that were never successful, such as the Pentagon spending 6 6 million on a project. Nine Italian goats were imported for this project but the project was at a loss.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the biggest beneficiaries of the multi-billion dollar war were Lockheed Martin Corporation, Boeing Company, General Dynamics Corporation, Raytheon Technologies Corporation and Northrop Grumman Corporation. In total, these companies raised 2 210 billion from the United States for weapons, supplies and other services.

The report also tells a few individual stories in which a poor man became a well-known businessman by taking dollars from the United States in exchange for a service, such as a young Afghan translator who became a successful industrialist while selling bed sheets to US forces. ۔

Similarly, a California businessman started a one-time fuel business in Kyrgyzstan, earning billions. Two Ohio Army National Guardsmen started a small business that provides Afghan interpreters for the military. It became one of the top US military contractors, earning about $ 4 billion.

According to the report, foreign contractors often used Afghans to do their work but paid them only a fraction of the money they paid to an American or European employee.

The report says the average monthly income of Afghan linguists fell from about ً 750 in 2012 to 500 500 in 2021.

In order to expose the beneficiaries of this monkey business, the Biden administration has ordered an inquiry to find out how reliance on foreign contractors during the war increases the cost of war.

Similarly, the US Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction revealed in his inquiry report that out of the approximately ین 150 billion spent on the country’s reconstruction, only   1.8 billion out of the   7.8 billion allocated for development projects. Expenditure on new roads, hospitals, bridges and factories accounted for only 15% of the total.

The Special Inspector General’s report also states that  2.2 billion was spent on other development projects, including military aircraft, police stations, farming programs, which were abandoned or destroyed.

It should be noted that the United States has withdrawn all its troops from Afghanistan and now the Taliban government is established there while it is gradually reducing its troops from the Middle East also in order to get rid of the additional financial burden on the country.
